Goodbye Schmohawk!


Look out for this in various WHSmith stores......
I jest of course a Goodbye card to a friend and Larry David fan, and yes 'Schmohawk' is a Yiddish word for bad driver.

my father used the term all the time.
i however doubt it is yiddish for a bad driver. yiddish was thriving before there were drivers.

i think it really means a bad driver or a schmoe that acts like an indian guide and gives directions.

Ie "why listen to that shmohawk, he has no idea where he is"

i think this is a latter derivation of schmoe
