- Is it me or do 90% of men blessed with the ginger gene celebrate by growing a beard?! my father used the term all the time.
i however doubt it is yiddish for a bad driver. yiddish was thriving before there were drivers.
i think it really means a bad driver or a schmoe that acts like an indian guide and gives directions.
Ie "why listen to that shmohawk, he has no idea where he is"
i think this is a latter derivation of schmoe
